Happy New Year!

Awesome! Simple as that. I was totally blown away by the fireworks last night. Sydney knows how to throw a show. This was the first time in 5 years that I've been around to witness this. Sydney people tend to be a bit blase about this spectacle. I guess they've grown up with it. But I've never seen anything like it. We watched the 9 o clock show from Gwen and Steve's roof terrace. This show was good enough. The 12 o clock show though was special There were about 30 of us at the party and we all strolled down to the harbour shore with bottles and plastic cups and cameras in hand. Everyone was pretty much plastered but all in good spirits.

I've woken up today with a bit of a hangover. No great surprise there. Despite the gorgeous day I am hiding in my room with the curtains closed. I may venture out later on.
