It's 4pm on New Years Eve. It's been great year. This past week has been particularly brilliant spending it with some good, good friends. The best you can get in fact. And I've just spent most of today with someone very nice indeed. Unfortunately it's not someone who resides in Sydney and is just passing through. Seems to be par for the course with me.
I'm going to think about my resolutions and post them here in the next few days. I consider myself lucky though. 2008 is going to be an excellent year. I'm either going to concentrate on my career and securing some pretty lucrative experience and then go travelling with that in my back pocket. Or else if I don't get the opportunity to get that experience I'm off travelling for a good few months. It's a win-win situation and I'm feeling very comfortable at the moment.
Tonight is going to be good. I've never done the Sydney NYE fireworks despite living here for almost 6 years. I always seem to be out of town. So I'm off to the Blake's place in Kirribilli to secure a top notch view.

Freestyle

It's been a shocker of a last few months. Busy as hell. There's been tonnes of stuff going on but I don't seem to have had the time to update this. The jury is still out on whether I leave a mysterious blogging hole in my past or retrospectively add some posts. Will have a think about that one.
In the meantime, aside from a crappy Christmas Day the weather this week has been gorgeous. Yesterday (the 28th) I caught up with Geoff for lunch in Bondi and had a couple of ciders in Ravesi's (lots of stories from this place over the last week).
Then I headed over to the Olympic pool in North Sydney. I've always been a decent enough swimmer but never particularly strong and could never swim free style for much of a distance. So Gwen offered to give me some coaching as she used to be an instructor. After an hour my technique had improved no end. I think this could become part of my new exercise regime. The running doesn't work in getting rid of the belly. And it's got to go in 2008.
Sat morning now. I have an offer of a night in the Hunter Valley or a day at the beach. So here I am updating my blog and procrastinating. Come on lad, make a decision.
